V.I. Taxicab Commission Schedules Medallion Auction for Veterans

The Virgin Islands Taxicab Commission will have its annual taxicab medallion auction on all three islands for December 16, 17 and 18, Government House has announced. The auction is open to military veterans only. The auctions for two medallions on each island will take place at 11 a.m.: On St. Thomas on Monday, December 16 at the Taxicab Commission Office in Sub Base. On St. John on Tuesday, December 17 at the St. John Administrator’s Office. On St. Croix at the Taxicab Commission Office  at 3274 Estate Richmond. Applications are available at the Taxicab Commissions offices between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications must be taken to the Virgin Islands Veterans Affairs for verification of eligibility as a veteran on the island for which the bid is scheduled.  Bid forms must be deposited in the bid box no later than 10 a.m. on the day of the auction.
