Man Found Dead After Early-Morning Shooting in Contant, St. Thomas

ST. CROIX — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just after midnight Thursday in Contant, where a man was found unresponsive in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. According to the V.I. Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau, the incident occurred on November 6, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m. when the Shot Spotter Detection System alerted officers to multiple gunshots fired in the Contant area. Moments later, a concerned citizen contacted police to report that a male was lying in the roadway bleeding from his upper body. Patrol units responded to the scene and discovered the victim, who had sustained several gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived shortly thereafter and determined that the man had no vital signs. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
