Nu Chi Zeta Chapter Hosts 13th Annual 'Put Your Feet in Pink' Breast Cancer Awareness March on St. Croix

ST. CROIX — The local Nu Chi Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, took a monumental stride on Monday as they hosted their 13th annual "Put Your Feet in Pink" breast cancer awareness march. The event began at 8am at the Claude O. Markoe Elementary School in Frederiksted and saw passionate participants walking and dancing down Strand Street, all the way to the Eliza McBean clock tower. Upon reaching the clock tower, a heartfelt program began, commemorating cancer survivors, acknowledging current fighters, and honoring the memory of those who lost their battle to the disease. Adding color and creativity to Monday's event was an awareness art display, featuring a t-shirt and shoe competition. The day's activities culminated in a poignant ceremony, where attendees offered prayers and wishes for recovery.
