ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department has reported the discovery of human remains at Estate Jealousy on St. Croix.
According to the report, the remains were discovered on Thursday morning by a citizen walking in the area. Identification has been made difficult by the advanced state of decomposition of the remains, however the presence of a large beard indicates that the deceased individual is male.
Following the discovery, the remains were collected by morgue attendants. Cause of death, a VIPD statement says, is pending DNA results.
Police are asking anyone with a missing family member to contact 911 or the Criminal Investigation Bureau Tipline at (340) 778-4850.
