AARP VI Now Accepting Applications for the Virgin Islands Andrus Award for Community Service

AARP in the Virgin Islands announced Thursday that it is now accepting nominations for its 2022 Virgin Islands Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Virgin Islanders who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members. Application deadline is August 30. According to the release, AARP VI will evaluate nominations based on how the volunteer’s work has improved the community, reflected AARP’s vision and mission, and inspired other volunteers. The award recipient will be announced in early fall. “AARP in The Virgin Islands is excited to shine a light on 50+ Virgin Islanders who use what they’ve learned in life to make a difference in the lives around them,” said Troy de Chabert-Schuster, AARP-VI state director.
