The V.I. Port Authority invites the submission of electronic bids for the furnishing of all labor, material, services and equipment for the for the Restroom Renovation Project at the Urman Victor Fredericks Marine Terminal, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands aka Red Hook Terminal. Responses will be received by the Virgin Islands Port Authority (“VIPA” or the “Authority”) through its electronic procurement site at https://viportbids.ionwave.net until 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00 am in the foyer at the Urman Victor Fredericks Marine Terminal, St. John, USVI.
The complete invitation to bid including specifications and drawings, and proposal forms will be available through the Authority’s e-bid site at https://viportbids.ionwave.net on July 15, 2022. Any questions regarding this bid may e-mail to [email protected].
The EEO and DBE requirements of the Virgin Islands Port Authority shall apply to this project. The bids shall be based on wage rates at least as high as the minimum rates established by U.S. Department of Labor, which are incorporated in the Bid Documents.
The Contractor shall agree to use local personnel for the categories of journeymen, mechanics, laborers, apprentices or trainees and local products to the maximum extent possible, whenever such policy does not increase the cost to the Authority. The Contractor agrees to follow the resident employee requirements as described in Act No. 5174, Bill No. 16-0218 of the Virgin Islands Code.
No Proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Proposals for a period of ninety (90) days. The Virgin Islands Port Authority reserves the rights to waive any informalities in or reject any and all Proposals, or to re-advertise for Proposals.
