Update | Police Say Contact Was Made With 22-Year-Old: 'She is Safe, In Good Health'

Update: V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima told the Consortium that Joi Milagro Thomas-Lewis, who was reported missing by the V.I.P.D. Saturday, was safe. "Officers made contact with Ms. Thomas-Lewis. She is safe, in good health," Mr. Derima said. Original Story: ST. CROIX — The VIPD is seeking the community’s assistance in locating 22-year-old Joi Milagro Thomas-Lewis, a Black female, 5 feet 5 inches in height and weighing 105 pounds who went missing on August 20. Thomas-Lewis has black hair and brown eyes, and has a dark complexion, according to police. The V.I.P.D. said it did not have information relative to where Ms. Thomas-Lewis frequents, or what she was wearing when she was last seen. The police force is asking anyone who may know of Ms. Thomas-Lewis's whereabouts to contact police at (340) 778-2211.
