New Airline Connecting Dominican Republic and St. Thomas Twice Weekly Starts Monday

The V.I. Port Authority announced Wednesday that a new air service connecting the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic will commence on March 27. SkyHigh Dominicana begins non-stop air service between the Dominican Republic and St. Thomas on Monday, March 27, VIPA said in a release. Port Authority airport officials and the Department of Tourism will greet the inaugural flight passengers on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Cyril E. King Airport. “The demand for more airlift throughout the Caribbean is increasing. This new, affordable air service will allow residents in both the USVI and the Dominican Republic to easily visit family and friends and presents excellent opportunities for increased tourism between both destinations,” said V.I. Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe.
