St. John has been named one of the world's 50 best places to travel in 2022 by the online guide Travel Lemming, according to a recently issued release.

In describing why St. John was selected, the article calls it a "tropical postcard" and asserts that "the US Virgin Islands are open for business with minimal hassle for entry to US citizens – a commodity sparingly found in the Caribbean these days."

The list was selected by Travel Lemming’s team of 15 travel writers and editors, with a particular focus on elevating underrated and unsung destinations that the editorial team believes deserve more attention.

Travel Lemming writer Andrew Bloem, who recently moved to the USVI, commented: "Thanks in large part to protections via Virgin Islands National Park, St John has held steadfast against the plot to urbanize anywhere with an ocean view. The result? A step back in time to an untouched slice of Caribbean paradise."

Travel Lemming's founder Nate Hake added: “Where we travel matters, and there are many more deserving destinations than most people realize even exist. Our hope with publishing this list is to bring attention to places that are especially deserving of your dollars as the global travel industry rebuilds.”

TravelLemming.com is a U.S.-based online travel guide founded by Nate Hake, an American who has been traveling the world since 2016. Travel Lemming publishes long-form guides from the perspective of locals and expert travelers.
