DATE OF NOTICE: December 16, 2021 III. DESCRIPTION OF NOTICE Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Division of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) has prepared Recreational Fishing Regulations that are available for public comment until February 11, 2022. DPNR is empowered, with the approval of the Governor, to issue rules and regulations consistent with the provisions of 12 V.I.C. as appropriate to implement their powers, duties, and functions. The Draft Recreational Fishing Rules and Regulations are for the purpose of establishing recreational fishing definitions, a licensing program for individuals and charter vessels, and gear and take constraints.
