The Virgin Islands Lottery has provided a follow-up statement regarding the cybersecurity incident first disclosed on Monday, March 17, confirming that operations will remain suspended while an in-depth investigation into the attack is underway. In a release issued Friday, the Lottery announced that, “out of an abundance of caution,” the decision to keep its offices temporarily closed was made in collaboration with local and federal cybersecurity experts.
