Government Offices in USVI to Close for Easter Holiday, Governor Bryan Confirms

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has announced that all Virgin Islands government offices will close from April 17 to April 21 in observance of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Monday, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday, April 22.

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has announced that all Virgin Islands government offices will be closed in observance of Easter, providing public employees with an extended holiday to celebrate and reflect on the season’s significance. The announcement was made in a press release issued Wednesday by Government House​.

The following days will be officially observed:

  • Thursday, April 17, 2025 – Holy Thursday

  • Friday, April 18, 2025 – Good Friday

  • Monday, April 21, 2025 – Easter Monday

All government offices will resume normal operations on Tuesday, April 22 following the long holiday weekend​.

“This closure allows residents to observe the holiday with family and friends,” the statement read. Governor Bryan encouraged Virgin Islanders to use the time for celebration and reflection.

“As families and friends gather and camp on our beautiful beaches this Easter Weekend, I urge everyone to prioritize safety while enjoying the festivities,” Governor Bryan stated​.
