Court Dismisses All Charges Against David Takayama With Prejudice

Updated on June 15, 2025 at 6:53 pm: Charges Dismissed With Prejudice On December 11, 2024, Superior Court Judge Denise M. Francois granted the People’s Motion to Dismiss With Prejudice, formally ending the criminal proceedings against David Takayama. According to the Order of Dismissal, all charges were dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled. As a result of the dismissal:   The pretrial conference scheduled for January 21, 2025 was cancelled. The jury selection scheduled for February 10, 2025 was also cancelled. Mr. Takayama’s bond was exonerated, and all sureties discharged. The Clerk of the Court was ordered to return all travel documents, including Mr. Takayama’s passport, to him.
