ST. THOMAS — A Hispanic male was the victim of a shooting that left him with several gunshot wounds on Friday, according to the V.I. Police Department. The shooting occurred around 4:29 p.m. in the Moravian Highway area, close to Electric World.
Responding to the scene, law enforcement was informed by local witnesses that the victim had already been transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for medical treatment before their arrival. Upon reaching the hospital, officers were able to make contact with the injured man, who provided minimal details about the attack. Information regarding the victim's current health status and the identity of the perpetrator(s) remains scarce.
The VIPD's Criminal Investigation Bureau has taken charge of the investigation into the assault. As part of their ongoing efforts to gather evidence and identify those responsible, authorities are reaching out to the public for any leads.
