Woman Released on $5,500 Bond Following Possession of Ammunition Arrest

ST. CROIX — On Friday at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers assigned to the Virgin Islands Crime Initiative arrested Rasheda A. Bell, age 31 of Sion Farm and charged her with possession or sale of ammunition.

According to police spokesman Toby Derima, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Bell on Northside Road, in the vicinity of the John F. Kennedy Terrace housing community, for traffic infractions. During the traffic stop, officers discovered ammunition in the vehicle. Bell does not have a license to possess a firearm or ammunition, and was arrested as a result.

Bell made bail of $5,500, and she was released pending her advisement hearing.
