Woman Arrested For Allegedly Using Someone's Visa Debit Card on Three Separate Occasions Without Permission

ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. detectives with the Economic Crimes Unit on Tuesday at approximately 12:46 p.m. arrested Tamisha Smith, age 30 of Sion Hill on an arrest warrant.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, Smith was charged with obtaining money by false pretenses, identity theft and grand larceny.

On July 19, 2019, an investigation was initiated on Smith, according to the V.I.P.D. release. The investigation revealed that Smith knowingly and without consent used a Visa debit card on three different occasions without authorization.

Smith posted bail of $1,000 and was released pending her advisement hearing, according to Mr. Derima.
