Man Shot Multiple Times In St. John

ST. JOHN -- A man was shot multiple times Tuesday night in St. John, but police say the victim has refused to divulge details of the incident, only stating that he doesn't know what happened, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Karl Caesar said Wednesday. According to the release, at about 8:58 p.m. Tuesday, V.I.P.D. officers from the St. John Jurgen Command responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the Bayside area near Caps Place in Cruz Bay. Upon arrival, officers found an alert and responsive black male in his early to mid-30s, who was shot multiple times in his lower extremity. Additional detectives and crime scene technicians processed the scene and discovered that at least seven shots were discharged. Officers then accompanied the alert victim to the Myrah Keating Smith Clinic for treatment.
