Man Miraculously Survives Freak Accident At Gallows Bay Stoplight

ST. CROIX -- A freak accident on Tuesday morning at the Bypass traffic lights in Gallows Bay ended with one truck being totaled and another badly damaged, after being struck by a flatbed carrying a backhoe. On the scene, the totaled truck was stationed crippled near the traffic lights pole, mangled in so many ways that bystanders wondered how the man driving the truck survived. The flatbed with the backhoe was parked in an area northeast of the lights following the accident. The man who was driving the totaled truck, a Chevrolet Silverado, appeared to be still in shock at the time as he surveyed the damage. However, he was walking and communicating normally. Bystanders spoke amongst themselves, marveling that the man had survived the accident. Some advised him to seek medical attention.
