Resolution To Honor Tim Duncan For Efforts After Hurricanes Irma And Maria Among Over Two Dozen Measures Approved By Senate

A resolution to honor Virgin Islander and NBA legend Tim Duncan was among over 24 measures approved during a Senate session on Wednesday. The Senate also took override action and approved zoning measures. Every single item on the agenda was approved and forwarded to Governor Kenneth Mapp for further consideration. Senators unanimously voted to approve the resolution honoring Mr. Duncan for his professional career, accomplishments and philanthropic efforts after Hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the territory in September 2017. A resolution to honor William Bohlke, Jr. for his assistance during the storms and his contributions to the community with business and philanthropic deeds, was also approved. “During the darkest hours, Bohlke gave the community an opportunity to travel through air flights," said Senator Myron Jackson. “Tim Duncan was awarded the highest medal of honor in the Virgin Islands.
