Limetree Bay Man Camp Security Guard Allegedly Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Investigating

ST.  CROIX — Police are investigating a robbery incident at the Limetree Bay Man Camp where a security guard was allegedly robbed at gunpoint.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Saturday at approximately 3:59 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call of a robbery at the facility. Upon officers' arrival to the scene, the victim, a security guard who was posted at the Man Camp entrance, reported that a male individual with dreadlocks, wearing a red hooded jacket, blue ripped jeans and brown Gucci slippers exited a maroon truck with a black trailer attached. The suspect approached the security guard with a firearm and robbed the guard of jewelry.

The suspect then fled the area toward the intersection of the Sunny Isle Shopping Center, according to the news release.
