JFL Receives Grant From American Cancer Society To Provide Free Mammogram Screenings On First-Come, First-Serve Basis

ST. CROIX – The Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center (J.F.L.) issued a release on Wednesday announcing that a grant from the American Cancer Society (A.C.S.) has made it possible for the hospital to provide free mammogram screenings for 100 uninsured women on St. Croix, in October, in honor of breast cancer awareness month. According to the release, Dyma Williams, J.F.L. acting C.E.O. advised the public that for the month of October the hospital will be providing free screening mammograms for 100 uninsured women on the island of St. Croix who have not had a mammogram in the last twelve months. In order to register for an appointment, qualified applicants must apply in person at J.F.L.’s main lobby between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon from September 23 to October 4.
