The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit Request for Proposals (RFP) for Marine Debris Removal and Disposal Services in the event of a declared disaster or emergency in the district of St. Croix. The purpose of these services is to ensure the prompt reopening of seaports following such events. Disasters encompass natural occurrences like hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, floods, and fires. The scope of services may include, but is not limited to, the removal of wrecked boats or debris from waterways.

To respond to this RFP, interested contractors must submit their proposals electronically through the Authority's electronic procurement system at https://viportbids.ionwave.net. The deadline for submission is 2:00 p.m. AST on Monday, July 10, 2023.

It is possible for the Authority to award contracts to multiple contractors. The services outlined in this Contract will commence upon Board Approval and continue for one year, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Contractors must understand and agree that the contract does not establish an exclusive arrangement, and the Authority reserves the right to secure similar or identical services from other vendors at its sole discretion.

Interested respondents can access the complete RFP on the Authority's website at https://viportbids.ionwave.net. Entities wishing to submit a response must register as a Supplier and upload their proposals via the portal.
