The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR), Division of Coastal Zone Management (CZM), announces a public hearing in accordance with Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9. The St. Croix Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission will hold a public hearing via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting agenda includes a public hearing for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0019-24, regarding the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) - Patrick Sweeney Headquarters Demolition and Rebuild Project on St. Croix. The project proposes the construction of a new state-of-the-art, one-story, 22,000-square-foot administrative complex to address current and future needs of the VIPD. This new facility will significantly increase the size of the previous headquarters located at 1 & 1A Golden Grove, Christiansted, St. Croix, VI 00820.
