Trump Administration Awards USVI Additional $237,796 in FY 2020 Technical Assistance Funds for Two New Fire Trucks

The Trump Administration announced Wednesday an additional $237,796 in fiscal year 2020 grant funding to the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands, which is provided through the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs’ Technical Assistance Program. The funding will be used to purchase two new fire rescue vehicles and is provided in addition to approximately $3.9 million in funding announced earlier this year for the territory, according to the Dept. of Interior release. “[Dept. of Interior] Secretary [David] Bernhardt and I are pleased to provide this additional funding support towards the purchase of two new fire trucks for the Virgin Islands” said D.O.I. Assistant Secretary Douglas W.
