The holiday season is in full gear in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and on St. Croix, where it is coupled with the Crucian Christmas Festival -- taking place from December 29 to January 8, the island has been overtaken by multiple activities, including the Coquito Festival at the La Reine Chicken Shack, and a Music in Motion annual Christmas dance event at the Sunny Isle Amphitheater.
Watch scenes of both events below. Other activities included a Lobster Festival (although patrons complained that the event was poorly organized), and Downtown Shutdown, referred to as DTSD, also took place late Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
