Governor Bryan and Education Commissioner Dionne Wells-Hedrington will embark on a joint visit to several school campuses across St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John to welcome students, faculty, and staff, ushering in a new academic year, Government House has announced.
Parents were advised to familiarize themselves with the orientation schedules of their respective children’s schools (St. Thomas here, St. Croix here) or on the Department of Education’s website. Government House underscored the importance of parents collecting necessary devices, making insurance payments, and other associated school fees within this week.
Richard Motta, Gov't House communications director, assured the media that the schools are prepared to begin the academic year as planned, despite recent episodes of vandalism on St. Croix and St. Thomas campuses.
