ST. THOMAS — A woman was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections after she was refused bail for allegedly assaulting a man with a rock, in what police say was a domestic violence incident.
According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Friday at approximately 3:53 p.m., police arrested Amose Saint Villien, age 40 of Contant, and charged her with third-degree assault, domestic violence.
The victim was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment of an injury to the head, said Mr. Derima.
Saint Villien was not offered bail, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws, and she was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advisement hearing.
