ST. CROIX — A woman who was previously arrested in 2019 for aggravated identity theft, forgery, and obtaining money by false pretense was taken into custody yet again on Wednesday after allegedly selling her brother's land for over $100,000 without his knowledge.

According to V.I.P.D. spokesman Glen Dratte, on Wednesday at around 3:06p.m., detectives from the Economic Crimes Unit executed an arrest warrant and placed 49-year-old Marjorie Harry under arrest at her residence without incident. Harry was charged with forgery, obtaining money by false pretense, grand larceny and filing or recording forged instruments.

The arrest follows a Sept. 2, 2021 forgery investigation by the V.I.P.D. Economic Crimes Unit. The investigation revealed that sometime in March of 2021, Harry forged her brother’s signature on a warranty deed and sold his property located at #90 Estate Castle Coakely to a male individual who works for DVD Constructions for $125,000 without her brother's knowledge.

Harry was transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Police Operation Building in Frederiksted, where she was processed and booked. The bail was set at $20,000.

In December 2019, Harry was arrested on charges of identity theft and fraud against an elderly woman after she and co-conspirator Ivia Rivera allegedly forged an elderly female’s signature on documents and split the stolen money between themselves.
