ST. JOHN — The V.I. Police Department has identified the homicide victim on St. John, according to police spokesman Toby Derima.
In a release issued late Wednesday, Mr. Derima said the victim was identified by next of kin as 20-year-old A’Jahnie Bramble.
According to the news release, on Wednesday at approximately 12:05 a.m., 911 Emergency Call Center received a call of shots fired in Estate Enighed. Officers traveled to the scene and found an unresponsive male who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene concluded that the male did not have any vital signs.
Officers then learned that two other individuals received gunshot wounds in the incident, and that those two individuals were being treated at the Myra Keating Clinic.
St. John Deputy Chief of Police Vivianne Newton denounced this incident and urged the responsible parties to turn themselves in. “Someone out there knows what happened. Please contact us and let us know so we can arrest who did this,” Deputy Chief Newton stated.
