St. Thomas Man Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend, Destroying Her Property

ST. THOMAS — A St. Thomas man was levied multiple domestic violence-related charges for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a disagreement, announced V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.

According to the V.I.P.D. news release, on Saturday at roughly 1:45 p.m., 30-year-old Hasani J. King of Michael J. Kirwan Terrace turned himself in to police and was arrested for an assault which occurred on April 1. He was charged with third-degree assault, domestic violence, disturbance of the peace, domestic violence and destruction of property, domestic violence. 

Mr. Derima said officers received information from an adult female victim, who reported that King, who is her boyfriend, assaulted her during a disagreement. King gave a statement to police and was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
