ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers have found human remains in the Crown Bay area, police spokesman Toby Derima has announced.
According to the release, on Tuesday at 3:53 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a decomposed body discovered near a business in Crown Bay. Officers traveled to the area and observed the body of a male, dressed in all black, that appeared to be decomposed.
The cause of death is presently under investigation, Mr. Derima said.
Police are urging persons with information about this matter to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-TIPS, where you can get a reward.
