ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers on Sunday at around 11 a.m. arrested Leon Wilkins, age 35 of an unknown address who was wanted for a robbery incident at the Vision Center at Nisky Center on November 30, V.I.P.D. spokesman Toby Derima has announced.
Wilkins was charged with third-degree assault, petit larceny and simple assault after being positively identified as the individual who removed sunglasses from the establishment and threatened and assaulted an employee before he fled the location.
Unable to make bail of $25,000, Wilkins was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
