Men Exit Vehicles, Start Shooting at Each Other at Gas Station; Police Investigating

ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. officers as of last week were investigating a shooting incident at Sam's Gas Station in Estate Glynn, which resulted in gunshots being discharged between two individuals at the service station.

According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Tues. Feb. 16 at roughly 11:27 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Sam’s Gas Station in Estate Glynn to a report of shots fired. Officers arrived at the area and learned that two male individuals were shooting at each other.

The investigation into the matter revealed that two males were in a vehicle, a maroon Acura, at the gas station, said Mr. Derima. Both males subsequently exited the vehicle and started shooting at each other from opposite sides of the vehicle. One of the suspects fled the area on foot, while the other suspect fled in the vehicle, which was later found at a residence in Estate Glynn. No injuries were reported.
