ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. officers were investigating a stabbing incident that occurred during the wee hours of Sunday morning and left a victim badly wounded.
According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Sunday at roughly 12:58 a.m., an adult male was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital via private vehicle seeking medical attention for stab wounds.
The victim reported that he was in the vicinity of Aqua Lounge in Estate Castle Coakley when he was approached and subsequently assaulted by an adult Hispanic male, Mr. Derima said. The victim was treated for stab wounds to his face, neck and back. He was listed in stable condition, according to the news release.
