ST. CROIX — A St. Croix man was gunned down in Williams Delight Friday morning, the V.I. Police Department has announced.
According to police spokesman Toby Derima, today at approximately 9:57 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of shots fired and a man down on Main Street in Williams Delight. Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered a Black male with a gunshot wound to the head and an older model SUV with multiple bullet holes.
The male victim, later identified as 30-year-old Kevin Jerome of Williams Delight, was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police Chief Sidney Elskoe is asking the community called on the community to “take a stance against violence by speaking up and ensuring justice for the family and the community.”
