Man Involved in Auto Accident Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

ST. CROIX — Police on Saturday arrested a man who was involved in an auto accident after officers determined he was drunk.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Saturday at approximately 11:57 p.m., police arrested Luis A. Perez-Soler, age 42 of Old Fredensborg and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

The V.I.P.D. news release stated that Perez-Soler was operating his vehicle on Queen Mary Highway, in Estate Two Williams, when he was involved in an auto accident. Officers investigating the accident found that Perez-Soler was driving his vehicle while intoxicated, thereby causing the accident. Perez-Soler was arrested as a result.

Perez-Soler was released pending his advisement hearing after making bail of $1,000.
