Man Arrested for Tampering With Evidence on Scene of Homicide, Released on $5,000 Bond

ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers on Wednesday at around 10:37 a.m. arrested Suni R. Abiff, age 39 of Estate Mariendahl, and charged him with obstruction of justice, willful destruction or concealment of evidence, and third-degree false reporting.

According to V.I.P.D. spokesman Toby Derima, Abiff was observed on surveillance video removing a firearm from the body of the deceased victim of a shooting that occurred at the Four Winds Plaza shopping center on October 24. Abiff was released after making bail of $5,000, pending his advisement hearing.

According to the release, detectives are still seeking information relative to this incident.
