Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run Incident in St. Thomas That Left Man Dead Turns Himself In

ST. THOMAS — On Tuesday at approximately 3:25 p.m., 31-year-old Rafael A. Ledesma German of Nye Nordsidevej turned himself in to officers of the Traffic Investigation Bureau relative to a hit-and-run incident that occurred Sunday night.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, Ledesma German admitted that he was the driver of the maroon Acura that struck and killed 37-year-old Royson JnoBaptiste on Brookman Road on June 6. He was placed under arrest and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. 

Unable to post bail of $7,500, Ledesma German was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
