FirstBank explained that when it learned of the diagnosis of one of its employees who provides services at the branch, the protocol established for such cases was activated immediately, which included closing the facility in order to carry out the specialized cleaning of all areas and sending all employees to be tested.

“At FirstBank, our priority is the well-being of our employees, customers, and vendors. As such, we have taken all the necessary precautions to mitigate this incident. From the beginning of this situation, we implemented a preventive plan that included, among other things, educating our employees and customers about the hygiene required to fight the spread, supplying disinfecting materials, and controlling the public’s access to branches and offices. We wish our colleague a swift recovery” stated Valdamier Collens, SVP, USVI Business Director.
