Bryan Nominates Judge Denise Francois to Second Supreme Court Term, Renée André to Superior Court

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has nominated two Virgin Islanders to the territory’s judiciary: Judge Denise M. Francois to the V.I. Supreme Court and attorney Renee M. Andre to the V.I. Superior Court for the St. Thomas–St. John district. Judge Francois, a long-serving member of the territorial court system, was renominated for a second term on the Supreme Court, according to Bryan. Her record in the courts and prior judicial service were cited as key qualifications. Renée M. André, a longtime St. Thomas attorney and mother of two, was nominated to fill a seat on the Superior Court. The governor described André as a respected practitioner from the private sector whose work has prepared her for the responsibilities of the bench. Highlighting the nominations during the Government House press briefing on March 2, 2026, the governor described the selections as experienced, local leaders.
