Bryan Nominates Judge Denise Francois to Second Supreme Court Term, Renée André to Superior Court

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has nominated two Virgin Islanders to the territory’s judiciary: Judge Denise M. Francois to the V.I. Supreme Court and attorney Renee M. Andre to the V.I. Superior Court for the St. Thomas–St. John district. Judge Francois, a long-serving member of the territorial court system, was renominated for a second term on the Supreme Court, according to Bryan. Her record in the courts and prior judicial service were cited as key qualifications. Renée M. André, a longtime St. Thomas attorney and mother of two, was nominated to fill a seat on the Superior Court. The governor described André as a respected practitioner from the private sector whose work has prepared her for the responsibilities of the bench.
