Looking to encourage participation in the Crucian Christmas Festival events, Gov. Albert Bryan authorized commissioners and agency heads to grant Administrative Leave to non-essential employees during the holiday and festival season.
Administrative Leave to non-essential employees is available on St. Croix:
- Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival Food, Arts and Craft Fair
- Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival J’ouvert
Administrative Leave is available non-essential employees territory-wide:
- Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Christmas Eve
- Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., New Year’s Eve
- Friday, January 3rd, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival Children’s Parade
The Administrative Leave for these dates do not apply to essential employees, employees on a regular or rotating shift, and employees on annual or sick leave.
