Gov. Bryan Announces Administrative Leave for Holiday Season

Looking to encourage participation in the Crucian Christmas Festival events, Gov. Albert Bryan authorized commissioners and agency heads to grant Administrative Leave to non-essential employees during the holiday and festival season.

Administrative Leave to non-essential employees is available on St. Croix: 

  • Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival Food, Arts and Craft Fair
  • Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival J’ouvert

 

Administrative Leave is available non-essential employees territory-wide: 

  • Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Christmas Eve
  • Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., New Year’s Eve
  • Friday, January 3rd, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix Festival Children’s Parade

The Administrative Leave for these dates do not apply to essential employees, employees on a regular or rotating shift, and employees on annual or sick leave.
