Parole Board Denies Majority of 40 Applications Reviewed During December 2025 Hearings

The V.I. Parole Board has released the outcomes of 40 parole applications reviewed during hearings held December 3–12, 2025, issuing a mix of approvals, denials, and one withdrawal across multiple facilities, including St. Croix, St. Thomas, an out-of-territory correctional facility, and Virginia state prisons. In a public notice issued Wednesday, the Board reported its determinations by facility location and inmate case information. The V.I. Bureau of Corrections stressed that parole eligibility and parole approval are not the same, and that additional requirements must be met before any release can occur. John A.
