ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department has identified the deceased victim of the severe two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night as 41-year-old Devin Fleming. The fatal accident occurred on the Queen Mary Highway near the Whim Museum at around 7:01 p.m., according to a statement given to the Consortium by the V.I. Police Department.

Responding to the incident, officers from the Wilbur Francis command reached the scene after being alerted by the 911 Emergency Call Center. Initial reports suggest that a black Acura, which was speeding eastbound and attempting to overtake other vehicles, collided head-on with a westbound Ford Escape.

Devin Fleming, the driver of the Acura, tragically passed away due to the injuries he sustained in the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford Escape, though injured, did not suffer life-threatening wounds.
