Glendina Harris-Peters, 62, of Pennsauken, NJ, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on September 12, 2026. Born on October 20, 1963, in Wilikies, Antigua, she was the daughter of Novel and Primrose Harris.

 Glendina was the devoted mother of Masai Peters, Jelani “JP” Peters (Amelia Nowak), Jabari Peters, and Jeanette Wallis, and the cherished grandmother of Jordyn Peters, with another grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her brothers, Calvin, Novel, and Alfred Harris, and was predeceased by her other siblings.

 Glendina was a woman of tremendous determination and accomplishment. She proudly became the first person in her family to earn a bachelor’s degree, an achievement that reflected her dedication to education and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Throughout her career as an educator, Glendina taught and touched the lives of countless children in the Virgin Islands, Washington State, and Florida before eventually settling in New Jersey and becoming part of the Camden City School District. She dedicated herself to her students and made a lasting impact on many of the young lives entrusted to her care.

 A devoted Seventh-day Adventist, Glendina cherished her faith and never missed her Saturday church service. Her faith was an important part of who she was and guided the way she cared for those around her.

 Outside of her work and faith, Glendina found joy in gardening and in spending time with the people she loved. She had a small stature but a truly larger-than-life personality. She was generous to a fault, always willing to give to others, even if it meant giving the shirt off her own back. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Above all, Glendina was a caretaker at heart. She was always looking out for those around her, offering her love, support, and kindness whenever someone needed it.

 Glendina will be remembered for her strength, generosity, humor, faith, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

 A memorial service honoring Glendina’s life will be held at a later date.
