Dale Allen Klingensmith, 70, of Minneola, Florida, previously from Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Survived by his loving wife Susan Klingensmith of 39 years, his children Patrick (wife Erika) Hunter (FL), Nicole (husband Ryan) Abbarno (FL), and John Klingensmith (FL), his step-mother Alice Klingensmith (PA), siblings Donna Rasperger and Brother-in-Law Ed Rasperger (PA), and Daniel Klingensmith (PA), and countless friends and family whom he loved deeply. Predeceased by parents Glenn J. Klingensmith (PA) and Ruth (Kelly) Swarner and husband Bob Swarner (PA), and sibling Glenn B. Klingensmith and wife Cheryl Klingensmith (PA). Allen began his life helping on their family farm in Pennsylvania. He attended Saltsburg High School in PA, where he was involved in wrestling. He was a volunteer firefighter. He later relocated to Florida with his wife, Susan, and had a decades-long career in the construction site development field throughout the Caribbean and Florida, including site development for golf courses, marinas, bridges, airports, housing, and retail malls. He was General Manager for concrete operations as well as asphalt companies, doing various road projects. He started as a machine operator and, through 40-plus years of hard work, was promoted through the ranks to VP of Construction for Devcon International and various other companies until present as Project Manager for VI Paving Inc. in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Allen was a mentor to many in his field. He was an avid Steelers fan. He loved spending his free time with family, playing cards, and doing puzzles. He had a passion for woodworking and making miniature houses. He loved all things furry. He will be deeply missed by many as his memories live on through his loved ones. A small memorial service will be held in the future honoring his life.
