The National Hurricane Center has issued an outlook regarding a tropical wave currently situated over the central Tropical Atlantic. As of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, the wave was producing some disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

According to the NHC, environmental conditions are becoming increasingly favorable for the gradual development of this system. There is a possibility that a tropical depression could form by early next week as the system continues its westward movement at a speed of 10 to 15 mph.

The NHC's current forecast suggests that the system will approach the Lesser Antilles early next week before moving westward to west-northwestward across parts of the eastern Caribbean Sea by the middle of next week.

As of now, the NHC estimates a low formation chance of near 0 percent within the next 48 hours. However, over the next seven days, the chance of formation increases to 40 percent.

Residents of the Lesser Antilles and surrounding areas are advised to stay informed and monitor updates from the NHC and local meteorological offices as the situation develops. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
