Beginning on Friday morning and continuing through Monday afternoon, the fuel terminal which provides LPG to the V.I. Water and Power Authority's Estate Richmond Power Plant will undergo a scheduled preventative maintenance regimen, WAPA has announced.

During this period, the propane-fired Aggreko units will not be available. A third diesel generator, Unit 20, is currently on maintenance, and not available, WAPA said.

"To the greatest extent possible, and as always, WAPA will endeavor to maintain uninterrupted electrical service to all customers," said the authority. "Barring any unexpected equipment failure, any service interruptions that do occur due to generation capacity will be intermittent and short-lived. The Authority will provide public updates on any service interruptions that do occur."

The maintenance schedule will begin at 6 a.m. on September 4 and continue through 2 p.m. on September 7.
