St. Thomas Woman Assaults Boyfriend With Scissors

A St. Thomas woman was arrested on Jan. 16 at about 6:45 p.m., after officers said she assaulted her boyfriend with a pair of scissors, causing multiple injuries to the man.

Daralien Gisha was charged with third degree assault domestic violence.

In other related news, 30-year-old Neal Orsen Francis, Jr. was arrested by St. Thomas police and charged with second degree domestic violence assault.

According to police, Francis strangled and beat his girlfriend causing lacerations on her neck, arms, face and knees on Nov. 29, 2014.

He was arrested on Jan. 12, at about 8 p.m., and is being held without bail pending court action.

Both assailants are being held without bail pending court action, in accordance with Virgin Islands domestic violence laws.
