ST. CROIX -- A female suspect ransacked the house of a woman she's been having an ongoing feud with, damaging items and deciding not to leave the home until VIPD officers arrived on the scene, Kevin Jackson, VIPD's public information officer told VI Consortium this morning.
According to Jackson, the incident occurred at the Paradise Mills apartments on Wednesday, after the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Saidah Harley, motioning to the victim who lives in an upper floor apartment, demanded that she come outside. The victim, however, remained in her home -- prompting the heavyset Harley to break into the apartment, damaging various items.
When police arrived, they arrested and charged Harley with second degree burglary. Unable to post bail of $50,000, the perpetrator was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.
The incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m.
