Residents With Claims Against Defunct Insurance Companies Urged To Take Action Before July 13

Lieutenant Governor Osbert E. Potter, in his capacity as Commissioner of Insurance and Liquidator, is now in the final phase of liquidating the assets of American Alliance Insurance Company, Ltd., Island National Insurance Company, and Phoenix Fire and Marine Insurance Company, Ltd, and residents with valid, outstanding claims against the aforementioned firms are being urged to file their claims immediately.

That's according to a press release issued by the Lieutenant Governor's Office on Tuesday, advising residents who believe they've suffered losses, unearned premiums or some other valid claim which entitles claimants to receive payment, to contact the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Division of Banking and Insurance, for more information on how to obtain payment.

Proof of claim must be submitted along with the claim, according to the press release.
